Project Collection – Flame-resistant and Durable Upholstery fabrics

Our new upholstery fabric collection Project is flame-resistant and durable and was specially developed to fulfil the demanding requirements of public projects, from hotels to offices to cruise ships. It comes in three patterns: Doris, the new Ariel, and the monochrome Kronos. The collection’s extensive colour scheme includes warm, soft, earthy, and fresh shades. There is an option to suit every space. The Project fabrics have a woolly and natural feel. Moderate minimum order quantities allow the fabrics to be used in large and small-scale projects.

The new Ariel pattern in our Project collection, a signature of Johanna Gullichsen’s style, features graphic lines and squares that form a harmonious surface. Ariel’s double-sided nature allows you to choose to use the fabric’s lighter or darker side or even play with it and upholster half of the seating in the light shade and half in the darker shade.

Project fabrics are woven from 100% Trevira CS yarns. As the fabric contains only one fibre, it can be recycled. The fabric is woven on demand in the quantity needed for each project, thus eliminating unnecessary stock, and it is delivered in approximately five weeks. The Project fabrics are flame-resistant, have an abrasion resistance of over 50,000 Martindale cycles, and are washable.

Our Project collection made its debut at the Habitare Fair 2024. Our booth was in the Neighbours area, curated by Ulla Koskinen and Anna Pirkola. The area featured the Neighbours exhibition and a block of company booths. We aimed to foster a sense of community in line with the theme. We opened a small Caffè JG on our stand, providing the perfect setting to showcase the fabrics for public spaces. The promotional photos were taken at the charming Café Clé in Helsinki. Neighbours and friends are essential.
